Ok, this conversion is on the cards.
has anyone done it or anything?
what exactly needs changed and would it be hard to do, with the aid of tutorial and constant communication with mechanics?
would the stnd gear box be ok, would drive shafts or fuel tank etc need changed or anything

I think you will need to change the engine mounts, driveshafts possibly? May need the wiring loom for the 1.6 and maybe ecu?
Fuel tank, pump etc is all fine.
This is what i can remember from reading on here so dont take my word.
One thing i'd change is the front brakes lol i know on my 1.2 8v there abit crap lol

You'll need a MPI fuel pump if its a MPI engine your fitting.
Your shafts should fit fine as should the mounts.

yeah was thinking mounts and shafts shold be ok
brakes arent a prob, 2ltr discs and calipers up front already

The 8v's dont have the immobiliser system.
