I have an M reg Corsa B that is extremely rusty... The front chassis legs were welded 2 years ago and now the underneath is horrible to look at.
In order to keep it going I feel I should do something about the rust..
Whats the best paint to use underneath and on the body? I was thinking about matt black everywhere so will chassis black paint do the trick?
I'm not very good with the body, as I love the engineering business on cars. As such after modifing my 1.5td to fly I would like to stop the rot in the body. I'm not after a good looking motor although I think matt black looks cool aka PPC's track day roller..

If it's rusting underneath then you need to grind all the rust off and re-do the underseal on it as well as repair any bad bits. Sounds like you have a bit of a shed, slapping some paint on wont cure the problem...

Its a shed alright. I bought it new in 95 then passed it on to my son in 2000. Now after totally ignoring everthing about except putting diesel in and driving it I have it back. The rust is astounding for an M reg motor. I have a 91 J reg Rover that still looks new underneath but this Corsa is a rust bucket. Everywhere, underneath, in the engine bay, front of the bonnet, sills, top of the rear hatch, bottom of the doors.
Its not negelect, its poor rust proofing from the plant. The quality of the fasteners and body parts is crap. And thats me comparing it to a 15 year old Rover!
