ive got a 1.2 8v corsa and as u can understand i love the car but not the power ive had the car for 5 years and am quite emotionally attached so therefore when i was offered a decent redtop engine which has loom gearbox etc with it i jumped at the chance. ive now bought a property so obviousely money situation is different!!! I live in cornwall and my question is do you know any places which do engine conversions in the area and how much do you think i will need roughly to put by to finish the project if i decide to carry on??

Hey,

Well ive just done my conversion to a Redtop engine..it was a 1.4 sport be4 but like you ive very attached to my car and just want some more power...
As for people doin the conversion i only 2 people Beardy And lee Mitchell off here...
I paid £1300 all in for engine with 85k and some extras,Labours and the usal mounts and loom ect...So thats about the goin rate for a conversion you could get it cheaper tbh but u get what u pay for...
The lad doin my conversion is Beardy(adam) and he defo nws what hes doin he has done it 100's of times...If you paid him enough he would come to you as he has done that before...
But you also need to nw about upgrading brakes, suspension, tyres ect as it all adds up ive spent about £1400-£1500 on the full lot for tyres to engine and fitting ect...but i have shopped around..

P.s u2u beardy or Lee mitchell and get a price...
