How on earth do you remove the actual bulbs from the green twist plugs in the back of the speedo dials?

I dont know if im just looking into it to much.

as far as i remember they just pull out from the green holder

If you mean the smaller ones (ie oil light etc) the bulb has a small amount of solder on to hold it in the holder (look at the bottom of the holder where the metal connector is) Just snip the tiny wire

...Alternitavely, i think some places sell bulbs already in the holders (halfords etc).

As for the bigger bulbs, they simply pull/push in/out
