the bracket that is part of the handbrake has snaped off from under the car the garage say its going to need welding but they said theres a chance the hheat could set the carpet on fire, is this true? does anyone have any ideas as to what i should do because pulling the carpet up is just awkward as ill prob have to remove the seats aswell!

if its diect under the carpet then yes you will have to remove it all

well ive just taken it down to the garage and they said to leave it with them so hopefully they will do it properly and not set my car on fire.
