just passed my test and I topped my petrol up for the first time on my own the other day. I put unleaded petrol in and I'm now paranoid if it was the right petrol. the thing is my car has started to sound different.
please help

its petrol but my friend sais there is different kinds of petrol, i just put in the onli petrol the garage had

There's super unleaded, but that wouldn't do your car any harm as it's only a higher octane.

ok so do u have any ideas, its just had an mot the other month, its hard to descibe wot it sounds like but rather than a constant brum, its brum brum bruming lol hope that gives you an idea

Cars generally go brum brum...
Have you noticed any loss of power/economy?
The petrol you filled up with could have been sat for ages and crap quality...
If you stuck diesel in it you'd know about it!

i know cars go brum brum, but like i sed when in neatral its used to just have a constant humming sound but its gon more brum brum brum, i got petrol from asda, but that wont make a difference wil it

your probably on about leaded petrol ... about 1% of petrol stations still have this so its unlikely youve put that in your car

The valves would burn out, you might get away with it if it's a small amount of leaded/unldeaded mixture though

No. To me it sounds more like you have a 1 litre 12V and the ICV is broken
