Author Fitting sideskirts. Please help!

I removed my sideskirts, and am going to get them re sprayed etc. Just wondering how to re fit them?
Do I use the rivets again, and use sikaflex?
How and when does the sikaflex get applied and can it be painted?
If anyone has a guide or knows how to i would much appreciate some pics and help??
