Well if iv understood correctly the ecotec system recirculates unburnt fuel and if im not mistaken this will be going back through hot which we all know heat going into your engine is something that we dont want. So if this was to be disconnected then i wouldnt have hot air going back into the engine and esencially less perforemance.

Tried this very breifly and my 1.4 sport pulled alot better at higher rpm.

All i did was put a screw into the end of the vacume pipe which goes into the top of the ecotec valve.

I'm not too clued up on engines etc TBH but where is the unburnt fuel going? is this not dangerous and very uneconomical?

you can just blank off the egr valve

pointless... on a standard engine. leave it there unless theres a need to remove it
