How much will a new clutch be bought and fitted on a 1.2 8valve? The bite is getting really low (after 29k miles ) so me thinks it's on its' way out,
Cheers

are 1.2 corsas the same as novas as in you dont need to remove the gearbox to replace the clutch? I did a few novas and it was just a case of removing a plate from under the engine to gain access to be able to swap the clutch?

Well what clutches are there to choose from? What do the prices range from?
I'm good at DIY with most things as my old man usually helps but he said for a clutch the whole gearbox needs to come out = big job apparently.

http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/clutch_kit_display.php?txtmodel=Corsa&Submit=Next&txtmake=Vauxhall
get one from there, there plenty cheap enough & its not like you need an ap clutch kit or something
DIY aint too bad, get a crain or something, support the gearbox, pull the driveshafts out (need to undo bottom balljoints on hubs) then unbolt & remove the gearbox, do the clutch & refit
but put the bos in reverse when you disconnect the linkage, it just makes it that little easier aligning it back up when you re-connect it (as long as you dont knock it out when the box is removed)

on the 8v 9/10 times the clutch can be changed without taking the gearbox out (the haynes manual tells you how to do it)
its a 20-40 min job BUT if you have the larger (pot) flywheel you cant take the clutch out of the inspection hole so it is a box out Job
