Basically my petrol light comes on like in the pic (before its in the red), when i use more petrol and its closer/or in the red it goes off, IIRC it comes back on when its in the red, but not always, are all corsa's like this!?

Mine doesn't do this either
I think it's more of a 'feature' than a fault

It's probably something to do with the gauge being so inaccurate. Mine jumps up and down a lot depending on if you're on a hill, flat etc.

mine sometimes comes on when i start car, but goes off.
plus my metre doesn't bounce around, its pretty slow although i've seen other bounce all over the place.

can always tell how much is in mine... its slow that it doesn't bounce all over the place.... but sits in the right place (i've never run out of fuel etc) and the emergency light comes on (reckon should get 30 miles with emergency light)

Mine does it aswell its on and off all the bloody time! when its in the red zone it will go on then 2 mins later will go off, then come back on and go off, never really bothered me but aw well lol
