cars up at dastek getting looked into.... a wee check up before being re-mapped.... or at least that was the plan!
Turns out that cly No2 is running lower compression than the other 3 210, compared tho 225.
Getting a leak down test done to try and help find the potential prob

its not majorly low.... bit still
I hope it's just something like a stuck, buggered lifter not opening the valves fully on No2.
Cannot be done with a block out problem. If it is a prob with the bore on No2.... thats time for yet another new block!!!

You seem to use blocks as disposable items

dude - you are reading my mind!
Spent this months car allowance on a 42" LCD TV though
If there is significant probs with the top end, yes.... i'll upgrade to solid and 300+deg cams.
The 1 new piston was the same Omega/SBD... same bore etc. Cant see it being that.
Sri-Co - are you wanting a set of lifters? I cant gaurantee they'll all be working 100% etc. They havent been soaking in oil etc, and havent been cleaned yet.

the way i see it, if its comming apart now may aswell go madder with it, rather than paying AGAIN in the future for the same work being done. newman cams have some good prices on lifters and cams. may be worth giving them a call
