I just fit some cavalier calipers to ma corsa
put alloys on
went for a drive - could hear wierd grinding noise thought it was pads bedding in - but no the caliper is diggin into ma alloy and has damaged all the inside of the wheel
Any one any idea what has gone wrong ?

assuming by speedlines you mean allesios surely cav calipers fit under these as they are 16's?

yeah allesios yeah 16`s yeah should fit

Wheel spacers required or try grinding some material off the caliper.

caliper bolts tight? other than that cant think whats gone wrong sorry cant be more help

mines rub to speedlines with standard vx calipers with green stuff pads and the caliper spring rubs the inside hub of ma wheels so need 5 mil spacers it sucks

spacers - ha - i am gonna strip the brakes down and refit them see what i can do cos passenger side is fine

By stripping them down and fitting again, that won't help.
There's nothing you can do to the caliper (apart from grinding). You need spacers.

I had a look at my callipers and the passenger side is different to the drivers side so i grinded the difference off the drivers one
all fits cushty now

think one was a cav caliper an other was astra

Ive had the same problem! I fited a part worn pad to the out side! lol

i had that when i fitted my 2.0l brakes, just grinded of the part of the caliper that was rubbing!
