is the cat on my car at the front end not underneath? i have had a look and i think it is but am not sure and if anyone knows how wide the tube is either side?
its a 1.0 corsa if you need to know.
want to take out the cat and just wondering what side tube i need for it.

the cat is in the downpipe that bolts to the mainfold its in 1 piece the goes right back to the mid section imo theres no point in de-cating a 1.0 your prob not gain any power more likely lose some

i wasnt going for more power its just to get a better sound. as my current backbox hasnt made much change but i dont want to get a new one.

depends what pipe you have an were the flexy pipe is (arrow'd in the pic)

the cat on the 1.0 12v is staight after the exhaust manifold...

i doubt you will get one 'off the shelf' for the 1.0.... take the pipe off and cut the cat out and weld in a pipe in its place... you will need to do some bodging to get the lambda sensor back on though...

i personally wouldnt do it with that particular engine...

i knew i cudnt buy on for it so i was gona bodge it. but i seems like to much hassle now only doing it to make my system abit louder.
