to my knowledge if i put neons across the posotive and negative of my amp they should switch on and off with my amp right?
also dnt think they take much energy so they wont affect the amp or battery at all to usal will they just comfirming as i have a limited knowledge

Why do you want a light on inside your boot all the time 
Why not wire it up to your boot light

No thats not right, as the power and earth are permanent cables that conduct power all the time, it is just the remote lead that only turns the amp on when the headunit is on.
If you only want them on when the amp is on, then you could try to connect them to your remote lead, BUT BE CAREFUL, make sure the amp rating of the neons is not going to draw too much power from the headunit and burn out the remote output.
