right, ive just got another corsa, and put my headunit from the last one into this. (it was working perfectly fine and hasnt been touched). It now wont turno on whatsoever, i have even bought new wiring for the back of it and it still doesnt work. Do you think there is a problem with the original car wiring?? that guy i bought it off had butchered the aeriel cable to fit a shitty 1970s tape player to the car, but the actual iso wiring looks untouched

IG Barrel live screwed probably.

Try putting a permanent live into the ignition live....

some of the new alpines need to be hard wired....you have an ignition live going to the loom to switch on etc the the main live may be to the battery

yellow and red. my alpine kept cutting out until i wired both to batt, fused 15amp. HU works with ignition off now, which is nice.

so what did you do exactly martin? cut the red and yellow wires on the head unit and put them straight to positive side of battery? (keeping the fuse thats already in the iso loom)

would swapping the red and yellow wires around make any difference?

See where the white line is ? Join those two wires, see what happens.
