i have undone the nut and pulled like a f%&k and nothings happening?

whats these gm wheel pullers all about? anyone got one i can borrow or what?

Go to Vauxhall mate, pulling as much as you can is no use

yeah as said you need a puller mate, i made one pretty easily and it works a treat. Just need a piece of metal and a couple of bolts. Will get some pics later for ya

get a hammer and a big punch and keep smackin the centre, while someone else pulls on one side, worked for me

yea, same as corsa_boy_matt, as that is what my local garage did, one bloke in the drivers seat hitting the puch, another in the passenger seat pulling on it and another pulling the wheel from standing outside.
Or could always get the garage to do it, mine took the old one off and fitted the new boss for £5

some wd 40 sprayed on the column usually helps with this method. thats the way i usually do it only failled once on a b plate nova that was siezed solid!

Leave the nut on two turns so the wheel doesn't hit you in the face when it comes off.

good way to knacker the steering column to i managed to pull mine off / tap the wheel forward with a rubber mallet, as Ian says make sure you leave the nut on or ul end ub breaking your nose!!!

Hows it gonna knacker your steering column when it does exactly what the vauxhall puller would do. Hammering a collapsable column is hardly good idea!

Ive used this on numerous vauxhall steering wheels and on an MR2.



The center hole is threaded and the two outer bolts were filed down to fit in steering wheel holes. Also cut a slot in there tops so you could turn allign them with a screwdriver. Centre bolt is M10 and outers are M8.

i quoted the wrong reply up there oops I dont recomend use of a hammer on the column above looks good!!

Looks just like the puller i made that, best tools are always the ones you cobble together in a moment of need
