Ive got a set of 6.5 comps for my car and ive just fitted the alpine tweeters in but ive got a problem my component speakers won't fit in..?Do i need a spacer of some sort

Im gonna amp theses as the headunit wont power the comps... where is the best place you can run the wirers through the car down the middle(More Hassle) or down the right or left hand side of the kickpannels

Thanks DannY_lad

1) you will need autoleads adaptors iirc
2) course your headunit will power them
3) why not hide the amp somewhere up front?

Might not fit even with Autoleads adaptors, the magnet might be too big and not allow the window to be opened.

Headunit will power them but your best doing what your doing and getting an amp for them.

If you run the speaker, remote and RCA wires down the drivers side of the car under the sill panels you shouldn't have a problem. Put the power cable on the passenger side underneath the sill panels to keep it seperate from the other wires or it will cause interference. You can get the power lead from the battery through a grommet thats in the bulk head thats easy to get to if you take the glovebox out.

If the magnet dosent fit throught the hole in the door, making the spacer out of MDF rather than using normal collars aint gonna help mate. The collars hold them as far away from the door without them hitting the grill on the door panel as it is.

I've got these speakers

Just to confirm that they do fit. Its the Alpine Type R's that won't fit without door pods
