I've been trying to get my car to start, but can't even get the motor to turn over. I have a Clifford Alam/Immobiliser, could this be preventing it..i've entered the code a couple of times and switched the switch on and off..but is it connected to the old transponder chip and key on the old ECU in any way?? Nothing happens when i turn the key 
Appreciate any help.

disconnect the alarm completely, then try to start it. then you can be sure that the alarm isnt the cause of the problem?

ok, i've tested the starter motor, ran a cable straight from + to the bottom terminal on the solinoid ( so the solinoid is bypassed ) and the other just clamped onto the engine as an earth, but nothing happened, slight spark but the motor didn't turn over......did i test it correctly??
