Hi Guys,
Basically I bought this shelf
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5801451833&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
I ordered the right one for my car ('95 3 door)
The shelf fits in fine with the boot open, however its a hard job shutting the boot as there is a bulge in the trim on the boot (I'm not sure what is behind it, but I'd imagine it was covering something) which is catching on the stealth shelf and making it very hard to close the boot. I have to literally slam the boot down!
Any ideas as to what the problem is or how I can fix it (I've already emailed the place I bought it from)?
Cheers

I've snapped the most part of that off on mine (as it requires a star shaped tool to remove it properly) thats helped a bit, but I still get the problem

my standard shelf doesn't shut properly, have to slam it, its only since adding speakers to it, think the weight of it keeps it flat, whereas it normally raises up a tiny amount

Interesting, that’s probably it then, the stock shelf was light and therefore was bent or something!
Cheers guys, appreciate it

Well when I made my own shelf I chiselled out the piece of wood that hit the plastic thing then it worked perfectly. But I know the piece you are on about. When I had my original shelf in, this used to just brush against it but would still close easily, so whenade my own stealth shelf I made it to the exact same size. There is no doubt that the shelf has been manufactured wrongly. Have you already cut the holes in it? Cos if you have it says it can't be returned, but if you haven't, send them another email. If you want to ring them, get their contact information using this link:

Anyway, to answer your query, there is the wiper motor and mechanism behind there.
Hope this helps
