im havin a problem with my 1994 m-reg 1.2 8v corsa, i think its using chunks more petrol than i should, the only engine modifications i have made a peco bb4 back box, and for sum reason the lad who had i b4 me has drilled the air box! i did have a k&N 57i induction kit on for a while but i no longer use it.
last time i filled the car, i reset the trip switch and i only managed 271 miles on a full tank of fuel (40 litres)
this to me sounds awful but i dont no why it would be doing this?????

the main reason (for younger people) they put them foot down alot (not to go fast) just to hear the induction noise, which wastes alot of fuel.
i get around 300 to a tank and mine a 2lt 16v on Carbs (186bhp - 100 miles to £10)

270 miles from this engine is bloody good going. I used to get a max of 300, but more often than not it would be around 250. 271 is fine, since you have to put your foot down the whole time for this engine to do something. Sounds ok to me
