wat do u mean?

if u got a puncture in one of ure normal tyres u want to either fit a spare or use tyre weld until u can get a new one as ure safest option... if its a slow leak u can drive on it but i wudnt advise it as it cud kick ure back end out if it goes low or get worse with the weight on it, best bet is to change it straight away.

I replaced the puncture with the spare wheel so basically now i have no spare, do i need one legally. I guess people with alloys dont have a 5th wheel but is the spare still necessary?

if you have a spare, it must be legal to use on the road.

but you don't have to have a spare.

With regards mot you dont need to have a spare wheel and if you have one its condition will not be checked.

However it is possible you could be prosecuted for having a bald spare if they could prove intent to use it (very difficult)

You can also be prosecuted for obstruction if you were to get a flat tyre in an obstructive place and you werent carrying a spare.
