Author is there something missing from my F20 gearbox??

There is a small hole in the gearbox, with a spring inside it looks like a sensor may attach but its leaking gearbox oil, not very much but is definitely leaking. Photos are taken looking down from the top of the engine bay on the right hand side, engine is C20XE, gearbox is F20. Hole is almost dead centre in the photos. Any ideas??
