Basically, i shut the bonnet, drove down the road, attempted to pull the leaver inside, and it was really loose. tried again and nothing, went to try to pull bonnet up and nothing happened.
Ive tried the pressing in the middle while someone is pulling, been messing around for about 4 hours, just wondering if anyone has any ideas before i take it to the garage in the morning.

I've opened them in the past by using a long piece of metal rod, slide it in behind the grill, so that it pushes where the lever pulls, and presto, a popped bonnet, then to adjust the cable, there's a X head srew with a clip on it to hold the cable, undo this a little and pull the cable taught, and do it up again, and magically the lever is now taught

You can get to the release from underneath and pull it open with a set of grips.
Do a search on here.
