How do i remove this and what will i need so i can screw a oil filter on it when its gone...
So please can you tell me everything i will need to be sandwichless.

remove the old filter thread.
may have a female hex in the middle, or you can get a deep socket around the body.
remove the thread and the plate should fall off, may be some oil escape .
replace the thread with that from a 2.0 8v or i think some 1.8/1.6 engines.
screw on new filter

the threaded part is from any vx engine without a cooler plate fitted.
If you use the search thing, the part number is on a thread a couple of weeks back, it costs abotu £3 from vx.
