Do you have these subs?
http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/product_info.php+cPath+60_64_114+products_id+1391
They are rated @ 250w RMS and are single 4ohm.
If you have 2, you'll need an amp that does at least 500w RMS @ 2ohms...
Do you know the make/model of the amp?
I believe that the 1600w is the 'max' power and is therefore nothing to go by.
Also, DON'T GET A POWERCAP!

Sorry to say mate, but that amp is shit!
What you pay for is what you get mate... and being £59.00 and claiming 1600w isn't really good.
That's the reason why you don't have a lot of bass... you need a better amp...
Like i said, as the subs are single 4ohm, you'll need an amp that does at least 500w RMS @ 2ohms...
This amp would be good for your subs...

Also spotted a seller (UK seller) of them on eBay at a competitive price...

How much bass do you want??
when i was running my pair of 15" gt4's off a pyramid amp (only 150w RMS for each sub) their was still plenty of bass.
then i got jbl amps and was running the subs with 300w RMS each, that got them pumping.
also what voltage output is the pre outs on your headunit?

150w RMS would get the sub moving..
but the amp we're talking about here probably gives around 30w RMS if lucky! lol
