On my 2.0 corsa
I have tried pulling the cable instead of the lever - didn't work
I have also tried to reach my hand through the grille but there isn't a big enough gap (GSI bumper)
Anyone any ideas????

get somone to push down on the front of the bonnet above the catch, while you pull the handle in the car

Sorted it now
Finally managed to get it open by pushing/pulling the bonnet slightly to one side. The reason I was having problems is because when I took my bonnet off @ PVS to go on the 1/4 mile I kinda rushed when putting it back on Could tell that the mounts were in the wrong place from the paint marks from when it was originally sprayed. Tried it a couple of times after re alining it & its fine
I still blame women though
