I've got a 1996 Corsa Montana 1.2 8v without PAS, I cant live without it after having it all the time ive driven! I'm putting a C20XE in it soon, but dunno If i can hack it till then 
Be easier to fit it when I put the engine in or what??

just drive around at 50mph wherever you go, steering is nice and light at these speeds

I wanted power steering when my XE went in. Tbh I'm glad I didn't get it now. The only time I miss it is when I'm parking. I much prefer the car without it.

oh? didnt know this... i thought you just transfer the rack over and bent/cut/lengthen the pipes.....
PAS is only usefull for parking anyways...

I think it may take some getting used to then... Gutted! No its not for wimps lol Why does it feel MUCH heavier than in my mums metro though? It feels like when I didnt have the key in on my Astra :\

Would it make it worse cause its got a little steering wheel, I dont like the shape of it anyway, it feels wierd!

yeh the smaller the steering wheel the harder it is to turn

I find if my tyre pressure is low, or my tyres need changing the steering gets a little hard on parking too.

yep i've always had power steering till got the XE..and to be honest I don't miss it really...now and again when parking you feel that it's a bit heavy other than that it's fine...............
