With games (and a lot of stuff) I don't realise why they aren't cheaper.

Surely selling cheaper but more makes as much sense as expensive but fewer?

They can learn a lot from the Steam pricing model on "older" games. If you can pickup an 18month old game for £3.50 via a download, nobody will GAF about lending off a mate.

New games should be cheaper regardless, I'm sure I saw a sign for £55 last time a COD game was released - insane.

360 was £289 for the 'premium' model at launch, £429 is a bit of a joke!

PS3 was £425.

Unlikely MS will have any problems considering they undercut the PS3 a fair wack and both consoles (360, PS3) have near enough sold the same number of units.
Plus once you stick a PS4 Eye onto the cost of the PS4 (it terms of evening it up a little), i doubt you'll get much change from the £80 difference.

As Russ says, the point is that Sony lets you choose not to buy the camera. On the Box you can't even unplug it.

True and i believe MS should have offered that option. As said, if you compare like for like then i doubt there would be much in it between the consoles price-wise.

And it's been mentioned before, the spec is near enough similar between the consoles and the only real difference is RAM but it isn't as clear cut as 'the PS4 has DDR5 therefore it's better than the X1'.
