nope i wish , was going so well aswel, started to get a bit of smoke out of the catch tank so turned it of straight away , looked in there and seamed ok just looked like a bit of vapour was being burnt so turned it back on again and started to get a slight noise from top end, turned it of again and after letting it cool down and having looked arund the engine couldent find anything wrong with it so turned it on and oil pressure gauge didnt move, turned of straight away , undid the reliefe valve bolt and the valve was jamed so there was no oil getting around , managed to get it out and it was scored, so put it back in and got my mate to come pick the car up,

chris said the engine was doing great up till this point and he did a power run with 1 bar of boost but had a bit of boost creap and wheelspin and it made 473.9 and there is plenty more to come

going to strip it all down tomorow and see hpw much damage has been caused hopefully we cought it quite quick and i can up upgrade to a z let pump and maby new bearings but tomorow will tell

Hope it was caught early enough mate! That's a massive outcome already. Can't wait to see the final reading.

not good news, took sump of full of swarf

took a cap of the rods

and main

engine had to come out

engine needs

all new bearings
new rods
new headgasket
crank regrind
crank re balanced
new piston rings
zlet oil pump
and going to get the head re shimed while its of with the upside down shims

crank is ready to go of for its regrind tomorow, then i can get the parts orded as need to see how much of a regrind it needs, hopefully i can get it all done in a few weeks as going to do it all myself apart from the machine work, head looks to of survived ok but will have a further look tomorow and it needs to come fully apart to make sure no swarf is in it
