So any suspension under £800 is automatically shit and will snap and shouldnt be trusted?

Thats the general opinion Im getting in this thread with some peoples comments

Wheres Ojc with pictures / comments or the outcome?

Iv got AP's and no problems, I see them as mid range. Not as shit as raceland / G max brands but not the ultimate best such as Gaz, Tein etc. Why pay a four figure (or near) sum of money for suspension on a road car?

There;s nothing wrong with buying budget coilovers if they do the job you want of them, but there's nothing wrong with having expensive coilovers on a road car too? My car has never seen a track in its' life (yet), but the suspension wasn't cheap! Doesn't mean it's wasted.

I know what you mean, but your not on here saying that £700 suspension will just be shite and snap / fail

no-one is saying that you nugget.

I think EVERYONE is saying the suspension should not just snap like that regardless of price.

My thoughts are..... AP are crap, and they are budget. They are made with cheaper materials and bigger tolerances perhaps when compared to the KW's

In the end - you normally get what you pay for..... i.e pay peanuts, get monkeys

aye, TEIN are pish on the most part (we have a set of TEIN before anyone assumes I'm being a snobby cunt or whatever)

only the fecking really expensive ones are good i'd say.

Folk ofter make mistakes about good handling.... i.e firm as hell, skipping over bumps isnt great handling suspension

I once lowered a car 60mm and thought it was amazing, Then after a few years I put the original suspension back on and realised it was better standard.

yup....

Internet points to John and Edd

Spam spam spam.

Adio - that is the case with a lot of cars that are just lowered for looks - lowering a corsa 100mm all round for example is never going to handle well (you need suspension travel).

Is Sarah A related to Dave A? Can one acquire a genuine fake BMC air filter from her?

Anyway, I assume the AP that make the suspension is not the AP of braking fame?

My AP's were at the bottom of the coilover, trackdays weekend abuse and sold with no problems after a year
