Just maintaining it and fixing all the fucking faults

Got a dodgy caliper that seized on the way to the body shop has now fucked the disc and most likely the pad

And also my SMG gear display has died. Which is a massive PITA as it could mean a control unit has gone but annoying thing is now I have to spend time diagnosing it.

Also my stereo install is going from bad to worse. Wish I had just kept the crap £80 HU now as it stopped playing sound (my shit wiring) so bought a decent soldering iron and tonight resoldered it. Put it all back in better than it came out and now there is no power at all to the unit so another week of no music listening to the hardtop make noises

Fucking old cars!!! Rarrrrr

Did you make them yourself? Pretty cool. How comes you had to make brackets? Are they not projectors as standard?

This is the back of the lamp unit:

Bottom left corner fouls the projector so it needs cutting:
Tin snips at the ready:

And now I have more room:

Trial fitting:

Put the shroud on (Mercedes E55)

Glass rested on top, this is something like the finished product will look:

Ben I didn't make them no, they are from TRS. I just painted them so they don't rust or show up in my build.

The lights had halogen projectors, these are proper bi xenon projectors

Ah ok. I take it they're mounted differently to halogen projectors? When I took mine apart, I noticed mine slot through 4 holes and are held in with 4 nuts.

Want hid's in mine but don't want the scattered beam.

Yeah they are a different size! I failed with my first attempt as although it worked, aligning them was so difficult and not practical. These brackets are designed to fit in these specific (cheap) aftermarket pattern part headlamps. They are rotation adjustable as well as up/down. So much more practical

Need some different screws to mount it to the frame as the stock ones aren't long enough now

i like the fact he's very meticulous in his work. a job worth doing is a job worth doing right as some say.

i don't have the same level of patience as jambo. the best job i done was on my headlamps, but that required a lot of swearing, umming and arring

Thanks though but I'm not as thorough neat or talented as 95% of the guys on here

I respect that your willing to get out there and have interest in doing stuff in February.

My modding or any non-essential jobs are strictly April - September

Keep it up, car is looking top notch.
