not sure how you can claim they are all shit due to one instance of it happening. They are tuv approved so I'm sure the design and materials are stress tested.

The difference is mainly build and raw material quality.

AP - Entry
Weitec - Mid
KW - Top

because they snapped steve, do you know how wrong the material specs have to be for that to happen?

Its like an LG tv does everything a sony one does, but the build consitency is better at sony, your more likely to get a faulty tv from LG.

I'm googling AP, i could get a full set of coilovers for corrado for £400

£50 a corner for shock and spring

Sarah has kept pretty quiet about this, i reckon she knows what she did.

Girls always break things and then lie about how it happened

unless you properly jumped the mini about 6 feet in the air i can’t see the loadings being high enough for a single incident to have broken anything

but steve i already have my example here, and another of an AP spring snapping
http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=69437
and of another damper or two knocking from new
http://www.rsownersclub.co.uk/rsocbb/showthread.php?t=293751
http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/167516-coilover-problems/
wheres as you claim to have seen the same on GAZ but have no examples?
AP are cheap coilovers, hence they wil have quality issues, which is fine in a lot of ways i guess, just annoys when people say gaz are shite with no back up yet i can quite easily find lots of AP problems

also i still don’t think you get how bad it is that the steel tube of that diameter can snap at all rather than just bend, that just screams cheapness if you know about material make up

Lee iv not called gaz shit you are the one throwing accusations about Ap. Iv seen examples of gaz springs snapping loads on leaking shocks and a few instances of rebound adjusters snapping and seizing. If I wasn't on phone is post some links

End of the day nothing is foolproof yrs Ap are a budget shock yes something twice the price should be better built, but these are made by a respected company are tuv approved and well made we have an example here of a rare failure you are going on like its going to happen to all of them

lol, please do, i’ve seen some faults with gaz like seals leaking but have never seen a spring or damper rod snap
also, i’m not accusing AP of anything, i am however commenting on the evidence on the page put in front if me, said it before but you’re not reading it clearly, for the rod to SNAP it has to be made of very cheap steel something i would not want to have in my dampers, even installed wrong a decent quality of steel would have seen the rod bend, not snap, and thats really really poor imo, and a million miles away form the odd damper seal going awry, which AP are also guilty of i’m sure, you pays your money though....
