Quite a nice ride home tonight. Getting colder in the mornings though will be past shorts weather in a couple of weeks.

Going to order some mud flaps and a chain stay protector for the cube. Got my lights on it already, needed them tonight.

Enduro guards arrived for my new bike

And fitted, looks great. I have one on the front of my trek and they are superb, hopefully the one on the back will save me getting a wet arse on the way to work and back.

Verdict on mud guard.

Soaking wet today and fair heavy rain. Still got a wet backside, not conclusive that it didn't help, but waterproof shorts I think will be getting a purchase. Without it may have been more soaked. Definitely not going to fit one of those wacky rear wing mud guards though.

Ass saver. Clip on when it rains, small and unobtrusive and as it clips on the saddle it saves the worst getting sprayed up your back. Because as every man knows getting sprayed up your back isn't a good thing.

Had a ticking noise coming from my van, my ex vw mechanic mate has diagnosed it as being the rod in the vacuum pump sticking. Will have to find out what is involved in fixing it.
