Chrome side bars are awful. I'll try and get a pic of the guys across the road. He has bull bars and a rear bar also, looks shocking. Proper halfords crap.

Considering finishing the inside then selling it. It's been the best vehicle I've ever owned, just occasionally I miss some bhp, which it will never have. I'm not 100% on selling it though, it's just a thought.

I don't believe so. The pd 1.9 mk4 golf engine you mean?

I don't miss corsa speed and power, more remapped 330d power.

Had a quick read on the t4 website and I don't think it is all that possible sadly. I mean anything is possible, but in terms of ease, it's not.

I have to say even the 'fast ones' feel gutless.. My 174 feels slow but when you compare it to a 84 OMFG I can't even comprehend how someone could put up with something that so slow! Surely a horse and cart would be faster

Generally no, because one horse isn't going to pull as much as 84 of them

mine is an 88bhp 5 cylinder with 144lb/ft of torque. 1595kg it weighs. similar to that of a modern car so not really all that underpowered these days

your book time of accelration is 11.5 seconds. mine is 13.5 seconds. pretty sure for the sake of 2 seconds when its already into double digits, it doesnt really matter that much. plus as a camper, id suggest mine is actually a lot lighter, thus faster. so yes, i think id die of boredom waiting for yours to accelerate

tbh, not many times on the road where people go from 0mph to 60mph.

Only the odd occasion you pull out of a junction onto national speed limit road. Even then you find the person in front is only doing 50mph.

With a van the issue is over-coming drag at high-speeds, say on a motorway at 60mph+. this is where BHP is extremely important.

i have no problem sitting at 70-80mph on a motorway. It manages to get up the hills of the Lake District passes better than a lot of cars do. As the driver of my vehicle I guess I know less than you davey.

Bought these today. Will look a lot better than the current ones and are genuine Audi wheels. plus the ride should be better as they are 245/40/18 instead of 225/40/18. and michelins.

tempting to paint them a colour, perhaps green.

also have purchased a golf mk3 front splitter for the van.

Fitted the new wheels. Looks much better. Drives way better being on 245/40/18s now also. Getting them professionally painted for £40 in a couple of weeks once I figure out what colour to do them. Choices are satin black, gloss black or a green colour like I used to have the front speed lines on my corsa.
