That trick doesn't work everytime, but its worked for me many times.

i have 1 red light on mine now,they said i will have to pay for it,gunna say it's got 3 red lights and send it off.

Quick turnaround lee
Must admit my last one was fast, about 1.5-2 weeks from sending off to getting a new console. Hoping for the same again this time, was picked up on Wednesday, not had an email saying its arrived in Germany yet though

mine has been collected todat,told them it had three red lights and other faults which occured when it was still in warranty.hopefully they will do it for free.

Last time I had to send mine back, it was 10 days from UPS collecting it to me playing on it again

you can check if they have given you a new console as the serial number will have changed, check the new serial number on the system to the one that was on the reciept you printed out

i picked up another xbox last night with 3 red lights still in warranty and cost me £0 so will get that sent off today well tomorrow

My mates has three lights on it, went to round to his last night with my xbox and plugged mine into his leads and mine got 3 lights !!!, turns out his power lead is fucked and thats whats causing the problem. least it isnt the xbox, but can you send the power lead away for repair ?

but you xbox will be dead now if its had 3 red lights no matter what chris i just been on the phone to xbox you will be lucky if you get it done for free did you get an error message up on your screen saying E74 im gonna fix this one myself as its only 1 red light

lol mines fine, put my leads on his xbox and his worked perfect and so did mine. Have just been talking to him and he is getting it fixed for free now. alls well

well ITS BACK, letter in with the console saying they identified the probem as 3 red lights.... funny that because it never had that, and they replaced the motherboard, funny that also as the disk drive was fubarred and works perfectly again. smashing. Forza 2 death
