Warren, while the exhaust is easily accessable, i'd also suggest some exhaust heat wrap. Will help engine bay temperatures and lower inlet temps by a few degrees (cooler air means more power).

I think its about £70-£100. If funds allow, nows a good time to do it.

dont buy cheap heatwrap though, get some from agrimach:

or pay a bit extra and get it ceramic coated inside and out.

iv ran that manifold with no heat shield before, and i found the engine bay stays cooler than when i have the janspeed one on (mild steel vs stainless steel)

my dad also had it on his car, and his manifold cracked, caused my the heat wrap - maybe

Hi mate, Cars comming along well
whats the deal with the Anti roll bars? im guessing the GSI arb is thicker compared with normal/sport arbs ?

what sort of effect will this have on handling/cornering?

does the whiteline work alongside the standard rear arb?

i've been thinking of upgrading mine due to the fact that its really rusty & i'd like to take the car on track at some point.

fit a proper inlet manifold before you get that engine fitted. otherise I will throw a big spanner at you.

I have said it before but I will say it again, I made a genuine 12 bhp right through the revs with a decent manifold as opposed to the style the dbilas ones use (like you are using)

once 100% finished with cams etc etc 175bhp would be perfect!

the rear arb works alone side the existing one, and total changes the way the car handles, worth every penny

the GSI arb is thicker, makes the car more stable under braking and cornering, but people say it more it more understeery, and dont use a front one
