Police found it in Aspley, Notts.

Just been to look at it. Stereo is gone, pretty much nothing left of the ignition, door is bent to fuck, car is leaning so im guessing steering rack and its been put into a ditch.

I'd feel so much happier if they'd died in it!

As it stands, cant afford to replace it so looks like repairs. Need to get it to work to get it on a ramp and have good look at it!

That exhaust is loud as fook but noone heard a thing.

Rather annoyed with Nottingham Police. Told them that i wasnt going through insurance and that i did NOT want it recovering due to cost. Told them i'd arrange my own recovery (works truck)

Hour later they called me to tell me they had recovered it at a cost of £200!!!!

Automatically did finger printing, stuff is an absolute bastard to get off. Wont release my car until i send in my finger prints. I dont want it doing!

Just want my car back so i can repair it and get it back on the damn road!

Why don't you want your fingerprints doing?

To be fair, they shouldn't have recovered it if you told them not to, but to refuse having your fingerprints done just sounds very dodgy to me.

If they didnt do the finger printing, i'd have it back now and at work on a ramp being repaired.

Instead, i have a 3-bus journey just to get to work and if i cant get one of our courtesy cars, 3 buses back.

But you still have the issue of refusing to have your prints taken?

And even if the car was at work, you still would have to catch the buses home wouldn't you?

Don't get me wrong, I really feel for you that your car was stolen, it just seems like you don't care at all that the police have tried their best to help you.

I appreciate that the police are actually trying to sort it out (wow, thats a first lol) but on this occasion, i'd rather them leave it and just let me get the car sorted. Its going to cost about £20 a day on bus fare!!!

but as I said, even if the police had left it for you to recover, would you not still have the £20 a day to pay for the buses anyway, while the car is at work?

I'd have been able to get to work in our truck and collect one of our courtesy cars.

Trying to persuade mother to take me in tomorrow morning.

I'll get photos of the car when its released.

£120 is there statatory(sp?) charge and an £80 charge as they actually had to lift it out of the ditch and onto the truck. That excludes VAT.

Ill find out the full charge when its released
