I love this car, always have done. Think it's the yellow that does it for me, a set of morettes work make it look more purposeful on track

New seats are boss

Cheers Jamie, yeh I would love a set of morette's on mine, but it's always been a case of function over form
when it comes to this car, the new seats are a perfect example, upgrade seats for £100 and get a set of better harnesses for free

Or spunk £150 on a set of lights.....plenty of items that take priority over them anyway

Strut braces are on the menu first, upgrade the current exhaust and also get a roll cage

Then will think of changing lights front and rear, then waaay into the future start coaxing some more power out of the xe

...all in good time

More parts bought off ebay, due in later this week, tinted black rear lights, want to see if it makes the back look better as the rear red lights just dont go with the yellow,

plus saw mitch's idea on making a cold air feed out of a headlight, liked that so im going to make my own for the driver side light

bought a 2nd hand headlight for £12 delivered so for that cheap its worth giving a bash, both parts along with the strut brace should arrive any day

Small dec update

Made a start on my cold air feed headlight stole the idea off mitch

Started with a cheap os headlight off eBay and set to work with a heat gun and a screw driver

Few mins later got the front casing off

Stripped more of the insides of the light

Then was left with the last 2 pieces I wanted to make the "funnel" section will take it to work next week and chop out some unneeded plastic out and get the panel beater to do it for me on the side

Then set about unpacking my new omp strut brace found the end plates having flaking paint so got the sander out prepped and quickly sprayed some Matt black to tidy it up

Then went to fit it and thinking it will clear the engine, still fouling against the airflow meter and for valve.....bollocks!!

Nevr mind I won't be beaten that easily, might grind the end plates off and weld them on the opposite way round and the bend is right but its offset and just on the wrong side, ohwell job for another weekend, got Xmas dec's to put up now :/

another december update

after the debacle of the strut brace i was certain would fit and then found didnt i decided to cheer myself up a bit and went scouring ebay and found these

nice cheap set of rear lights tinted with black in the lacquer and sprayed on and highgloss finish

i know people will say im in a bodyshop and should have done it myself but for the cheap price of them it takes all the hassle out of it and they are delivered to my door- sorted

and also after a few months searching looks as if i have found a roll cage i want at last, going to see it sunday from a member on here, a nice OMP 6 point bolt in cage, bit chipped and worn but its going to be painted soon as i get my hands on it

more soon.....

Well......was thinking just do it in matt black with some rattle cans as there is very little gloss on the car apart from the the exterior panels obviously and all the other parts are matt black even the wheels (plus if anything gets scratched/scuff its very easy to give it a quick sand down and just spray over for next to nothing and so very easy to maintain

but....at the same time i was contemplating yellow, but the paint i used to originally paint the car with has been sat in my garage for so long (at least 2 years) its probably gone off and fucked

i might cheat and see if work can let me have some porsche speed yellow and do it one saturday, but we will have to see.......

Light will look good and be something different i had them in my car for a few months cannot see the lights though them in day or when its sunny. Had a few people almost hit me so they came out. If people dont like the lights you could always get mhw's and depo front headlights for them to wank off about and you'll be same as every other person with a corsa.
