I would have done the vent in red and mirrors white personally but fair play. Looks top mate, bet you cant wait to start competing in it. Just dont stuff it on your first event!

read the whole thread, looks great, id love to be able to build my own racer!- not 'mechanically minded' enough to though!.

i was amazed how good you did the paint, can you tell me how you did it and with what equipment as im going to attempt to do my bonnet and bumper soon.

The first event the car will be at next year is The Brean Stages at Brean Leisure Park near Weston Super Mare at the end of January, as long as the entry is accepted as they've had loads of entries so far!

was it hard connecting up the new handbrake?

Very easy to connect the hydraulic handbrake, as we were running the brake line down the centre tunnel and the handbrake just sits in the middle really!

Wish it was as quick as Weavers old car!!

UPDATE: 20th December 2007

Just a couple of pics tonight after getting the car back from my uncle.

First up is the spar wheel carrier, just need to get it powdercoated and get a 3way ratchet strap for it:







Radiator brackets:



Sump guard brackets welded in place, just need a touch of paint:



And floor plates just need to be bolted in place:



And........... i've driven it!!!!! So here's a little video from tonight. Sorry its dark, its the only time I managed to drive it!!




More on Sunday probably.

UPDATE: 23rd December 2007

Been and got the car logbooked today so its now ok for rallying. Just took a couple of pics as i cleaned it and had the nice wheels on.









And did a couple of videos in daylight this time, turn the volume up!!!!

UPDATE: 14th Jan 08

Been testing the car today at Smeatharpe airfield, only 45mins down the road. Unfortunately no videos as Its on my other camera and haven't worked out how to put that on the computer yet but some pics anyway. Also, the L200 pictured is my new toy too!!!
