Thought i might aswell stick this up. Initially i bought this as I got a job that requires an 80 mile plus daily round trip. Which meant that my defender (12mpg) was way too thirsty... It came up on a website for a daft price however a quick call i netted her for a hell of a lot less it was taxed and tested and cheap to run so I was sold. Back when i was 17 and had a *cough* combat kitted corsa almost 12 years ago I used to lust after an arden blue sport lol. So aged nearly thirty I'm having a kind of midlife crisis!

The problem or rather the reason i got it so cheap was this.....

Plan is/was get it tamed down a bit and enjoy driving it... problem is I can never leave owt alone!

So far she's been treated to a stock boot spoiler, a stock bonnet and a bra total spend £15 oh and i swapped my lexus lights for stock ones with a lad so a cost of nowt

More to come... Including definately getting rid of those camp stars!

Removed the original front bumper which had various self tappers in it to hold it on and scratches all over for a good replacement i got donated by the guy i got my spoiler off.

Biggest Problem I've got at the mo is my irmscher front splitter is stuck to the old bumper with what looks like about 3 tubes full of tiger seal so need to find a sacrificial kitchen knife to saw through it. Then ill bond it back on as thats staying. Replaced the glove box for one that hasn't got stevie wonders paint work on it!!

Had a poke round the engine bay.. that cone filters going in the bin and the rocker gasket needs replaced other than that she's pretty tidy. I'd quite like a 4branch and inlet mani though

Had a poke under the arse end all in all pretty solid seems im running fk shocks on the rear apex springs all round and mismatching std front shocks... never mind the fronts are getting swapped for some coilovers im taking in p/ex against the back bumper....

Had a rub of the supposed sportex system... It's stainless so i can discount it being a sportex lol

More to come this week

Certainly heading in the right direction! Irmy skirts and rear airdam as well usually worth a small part although it has been fully smoothed so might not have so much luck!

Argh broke the golden rule mucked about with my commuter on a week night. Fitted a factory air box now it doesn't seem to want to rev as easily and I mean in a normal manner as normally removing filter stops these bogging then fitted my coilovers ...I've pulled them out to give the maximum positive camber possible and it still catches the tyre and have crazy amounts of toe out...

Took it to my friendly local and they tracked it up which improved things no end and with the addition of 3mm spacers all is good....

Reset the ECU and it pulls properly again

In other news i have new wheels

Ta dah

Got my irmy splitter going back on... and some skirts im picking up later......

Got some other bits enroute to get her how i want it. Then decide on XE part of me wants 2.0 other part wants to tune the **** out of the 1400 as im not so sure if the xe will make it nose heavy and the roads to work are fun for chucking cars about on Part of the XE is the look and the ultimate go and the combo of torque and f20 should make for better economy on runs but i'm unsure as i think ill just end up giving it some abuse and using even more fuel lol.
