Yes, yes i know. U2U to John more appropriate.

Right, my shitty phone gave up the ghost this morning so im thinking of getting one of these. Heard decent things about them and the spec looks good. I havent had a decent phone in years, literally lived on an old LG thing for the past 3 years so thinking about getting it on a 24 month contract as i get the handset free with a decent amount of min, texts and most importantly internet usage.

So yey or nay? I was going to wait for the new iPhone which i presume will probably come out this June. Will it last 2 years? (bearing in mind im not the type of person who needs the latest technology phone at all times)

I'd look at the Samsung Nexus S which is the latest and greatest Google phone.

iPhone would last 2 years, you'll pay a massive premium over any of the competitors as you know.

I meant would the HTC last me John. Should have phrased that sentence better

Cheers, I'll have a look at the Samsung too.

One thing i forgot to mention is I'd like it to have a decent camera with a flash so i can take pictures of me falling over on a night out.

Can't see why it wouldn't, good hardware and Google are always updating Android.

Ok now the Samsung looks good too Damn you.

This might have to be a coin toss situation. I imagine both would do me just fine, i doubt id even use either of them to their full potential. On thing thats swaying me to the Desire HD is the fact i can get it on 3 so less hassle changing my number and the like.

Both are good phones, Nexus S will also be more difficult to get a hold of for the next few weeks.

Why would you choose the regular over the HD?
Only possible downfall I could see is its size.

Does 90% of the HD for half the cost? And size is a bit of an issue for me, maybe not others though, I don't know.

Have to say, I'm very impressed with the Desire HD! Battery life is a little poor but it does everything you'd want from a modern phone.

Free Angry birds is brilliant too!

No, Nat has one.

She got it on my recommendation.
Bought her the official HTC slider case for it.

I'm not keen on my superior iPhone 4 any more
I'll probably prefer it with an untethered jailbreak. Might do this now!

Now, i am a self confessed Apple fanboi but this is just as good, if not better than an iPhone. I can see what John was saying now
