 | In 2008 I managed to get hold of a 1.2 8v merit corsa off a family member. the plan was to re-build the engine as it had been ran in to the ground by the previous owner and run it as my first car for a while until i had the money to buy a nicer car but after passing my test and really starting to fall in love with my little merit i have decided to tidy the car up and get it looking smart before i am able to afford maybe an engine corversion.

When i first got it it was completely standard and just used as a car to go pick the kids up from school in and go to the shops. I decided to fit some nova GSI alloys to it that my brother had bought for his car but was selling them as he was looking for a new car. Once i had passed i decided it was time to get new bumpers and a little gsi spoiler to tidy it up which is all now pretty much ready for a local paint shop to paint for me.

So pictures of the story so far:

How it stood once the engine was re-built and the alloys just fitted

After some bumper care and an exhaust tip to tidy it up.

I then fitted the clock display as it didn't come with one and also a cigarette lighter for my sat nav. Also replaced all of the bulbs on the heater control panel so they light up.

Then fitted some Angel eye head lights placed a MIG sticker on the front and rear screen (MIG thing on number plate is PS) and now i am getting some bumpers wheel arches GSI spoiler painted to colour code the car and generally tidy it up a bit.

I Then added some colour coded bumpers and spoiler and some mud flaps, Really like how it looks just a bit high

So after having it like that i decided i needed new shocks and springs so purchased some shocks and springs off a guy on MIG that were -40mm and got them on.

This is the most recent picture of it (was taken about 2 weeks ago)
It really needs a clean but let us know what you think!!!

 Thanks Daz.

 | I love Frost Metallic Blue - the colour of my first car, quite rare too - yours is the latest I have seen too, they only ran from 92 on a K to 94 on a M I thought, but obviously not!

 Ok guys a little update!

got my trim back on which was hanging off after we fitted the suspension so glued all the clips in place and screwed it back on!

Also got a new set of number plates which i think look cool and then i de-badged the back so that it looks smooth.

Really pleased with how it came out so i cleaned it and took some photos!

 | *****UPDATE*****
 Ok update time again!!!!!

Right well, a picture of the interior light:

It was in day time but at night that thing is stupid bright!!!! lmao

Having fitted a stereo like last year i had run hte usb wire to the ashtray but ive now extended it and ran it to here:

I will me making a proper blank to hold it in so it looks like its supposed to be there!

Also a while ago i changed the gear knob to this one off of a Corsa Sport.

Also the other day i removed the rear badge as i wanted to get a new one, i just need to get a photo of the new one.

Me and my mates went up the scrappy the other day and there was an astra coupe so i ran over and nicked the side repeaters and added them to the corsa! i think they make a bit of a difference oddly lol.

Also a photo of the interior as it is at the moment. currently looking for new seats and bits and bobs.

sorry for the naff pictures but i cant get the good ones off of the other camera as i can't find the cable:doh:
 Hope you guys like it!
