Got a few problems with selling my Green Corsa at the minute..

Firstly its been up for a few days now, got a bit of interest but its either someone wanting to swap for another car which i dont need or someone offering me sod all for it.

Also its my first proper car, its stuck with me for 3 years now and have never had a big problem with it, I wasnt really too fussed about selling any of my other cars ive had before but I do feel really attatched to this one.

The offers I have had are all less than I wanted, so not sure if I have advertised it rite or Im asking too much?
Here is the ad:
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=513631

And obviously I would imagine plenty of people on here have had first cars which they where gutted about selling and miss, spoke to a few mates about it, some said they did miss it for abit but they moved onto a better car, and some said they would have it back if they could find it etc.

Some occasions Im not fussed about it going but see the projects on here, shaunmods and fruitbooters for example, and makes me want to just go all out on mine.

So just a few questions really..

.I have advertised it for £1350 ono, and I would take less but all Ive been offered is £600 to £750, surely its worth more than that or am I wrong?

.Have any of you sold a car and regretted it and wanted it back? Or was it always a case of moving onwards and upwards?

Thanks

Yes I do know that

I havent got any origional parts which is a problem obviously and it would only cost me more to get standard parts again.

Tbh if its worth less than a grand I think it has more sentimental value to me, depends how much under a grand though?

If 600 to 750 is all its worth than I may just keep it

Ya just need the right person to come along who likes it and is willing to pay near the price you want for it. Look at Fonz's 12v. IIRC, that went for over £2k and JayCarr's (ok, was a Redtop but still just a Corsa really) went for over £3k. You just have to wait.

True that mate, may just see what happens in the future, would probably be easier to sell with 12 months mot and tax.

if i was you, i would keep it an complete the project, corsa's arent worth alot these days and if you want a new car garage this one. But that would be my plan. When i sold my corsa, i had enough of it 2 years and all the creeks and noises it made annoyed me but you still seem to be happy with it.

Were you not selling this to get rid of cars because of no space?

If so, you can't really keep it can you

I always wonder why people bother over a hundred quid here or there with cars.

You say you'll take under a grand but not 700, 700 isn't much under a grand when talking about cars.

£300 is £300 John. Over a weeks wages to a good percentage of the population.

I'm not saying it that way, 300 is a lot of money, but when coming to cars I've always thought 300 isn't that much to get a sale, that depends on whether your original price is realistic or not though I suppose.

i sold my R reg corsa 1.0 12v for 600 and it had 105k miles on it, had 9 owners, and looked rather awful

put it on other forums aswell, no offence to people on here but i was told i would only get about 800 for my 1.4 sport, in the end i got 1.3k for it (after being knocked down fromm 1.4k)

put it on pistonheads, can only say good things about it tbh as ive sold my last 3 corsas on there..

Looks a decent car, I'd say you'll definitely get a grand for it.

Then again, it took me three years to sell my CRX started at £2500, then £2100, then £1600 etc eventually sold it for £850

I'd pay a grand for that mate. I paid a grand for my car with little under 44k on the clock a year and a half ago completely standard

This is the same boat i was in mate.I looked at alot of cars when i planned on selling mine 2 months ago but i didn't feel the same way about other cars compared to my corsa as its still my 1st car.

I looked into engine conversions numerous of times for over a year because i still liked the car but its was too god damn slow then luckily a mate got his hands on a 1.6 sport he was braking and i got offered the engine and also he would fit it for me so that was it for me i just decided to bite the bullet & get it done.

Now im glad i did because it feels a different car now and love it again and will be keeping it for a while now because im gonna get the car looking the way i want.

I would say wait it out as its easily worth the money or keep it and put a bigger engine in it
