a few of you know that I'm on with restoring an old Alvis.......I'm really pleased with the results so far and felt I should share some pics......
as she arrived.....(don't know what i was thinking, putting this in our front garden)
and as she looks today.....
I gave her a wash yesterday and she's looking good.......
I've just the sills to repair (you can see the rust below the rear doors) then I can start putting the wooden floor back in and the interior
hope you like

cheers
I've about £1200 in it so far and 600 work hours
we've been quoted £1600 for the full leather interior, that includes headlining and carpet
but she's getting there

cheers lads
she's a long way from finished.....she needs....
sills sorting
rear o/s wheel arch sorting (doing that today)
full rewire with new loom (which I'm waiting for(4 to 5 weeks delivery))
new fuel tank (which I'm waiting for)
new wooden floor in
new door cards
interior
m.o.t.
done
I'm hoping to have it finished for her birthday........I found out she left the Alvis factory on the 17th of september 1949.......so she'll be 60 this september, she's had 1 previous owner, 30k on the clock with full service history uptill 1975 when she was parked up in a garage
I'm gonna have quite a few beers when she's done
waters
edit....oh forgot.....4 new tyres!

Fantastic work mate. That'll be worth a few bob when done! But I'm guessing worth a hell of a lot more to yourself!
