7.0 is out now.
Its beta 2.
And if you don't have a legit windows and manage to install it you have no tabs.

You don't need to visit any special shop.
Get it from microsoft and it's easy too.
They are getting more and more annoying with the WGA stuff though.

BTW with regards to the tabs, the people at the special shop say:

Installed this a few hours ago,and so far haven't seen any evidence of 'tabs' appearing, all links just open in the same full window,no matter which control/alt or any other keys are pressed along with a link,so it appears to be just like previous versions of IE,but with less menus/buttons to play around with.

Back to Firefox(already default browser)I reckon, still it's good to try these micro$haft things out occasionally just to see how far behind they've fallen I s'pose.

[Follow-Up]

You have to execute xmllitesetup.exe from the Update folder.

Dunno wether to try it or not, this advice is for IE7 Beta2 btw

You don't get them but there are ways around it with no visit to any special shop.
Fromm what you posted there you don't have them and neither do the special shop?

Before installing Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview, please take a moment to validate your genuine Microsoft Windows installation. Validation assures that you are running an authentic and fully licensed copy of Windows.

Hmmm maybe it's not a good idea for me to install this.......... lol

I'm running it now (run the update.exe from the update folder and not the ieupdate.exe), yes it'll ask you to validate, click ok and it'll work fine no probs, also don't forget to run mllitesetup.exe to get the tabs.
Quite enjoying it but I keep closing down IE rather than just closing the current tab!

tabbed browsing works a treat for me, no issues so far!

seems to render pages much better to compared to ie6... still not a scratch on firefox tho...

the anti-phishing feature seems nice, but the trusted certificate validation is a pain in the ass (altho it does make the end-user more aware of what is going on i suppose)

interface - i like it, so much more tidier!
