It was still pulling, albeit slowley!

We have found the maddest private road ever for this stuff. Had a slight gradient, so there was an uphill and downhil blast.

But on the downhill run the car went full throttle from one rounderbout to the other, leaving braking pritty late!

I'm just gonna go on multimap and see how long it is LOL

Matt and J-Me, your guesses are spot on for the uphill run. It stayed on 167 for ages then plopped onto 168 before we backed off.

Nobody has the downhill run yet though

It won't do 189 with a 7.5k rev limiter

Its not that much more than the uphill blast, as there wasn't much to the hill

You pritty close so I'll let you have the Mars bar

It did 174mph on the return leg

Under the bridge with the other cars I think it was doing 164, and just before it went into neutral it showed 174mph. Fuel pressure was still constant at that speed too

i would not fancy being in a corsa doing that speed, i think its a bit foolish taking a car that hasnt been aerodynamically tested before at such speeds, how do you know that the corsa would not lift off at those speed? just like that le mans merc did

I know the car has done that speed and greater before..... without me in LOL

No other cars on the road for either run, except one chap following us we know, but he was a safe distance behind.

Despite having done 150mph in my Vectra and feeling safe and comfortable, my Corsa used to scare me when it reached 110mph.. I dread to think of 170mph+!!!
