ive got a fitted vauxhall alarm on my car which will lock/open the doors via the remote, but the dead locks and immobiliser only works when i lock doors with the keys!!!!

is their any way of combining it in one so i have remote central Deadlocking???
as i dont use deadlocks all the time coz i cant be bothered to put them on!!

but it makes the car more safer and much harder to brake into? right???

plus im thinking of getting smooth door handles??? so is their any way of turning on deadlocks other than with key??

ive got a 2 door corsa b

So it doesn't deadlock it with a 2nd push of the remote ?

my alarm does Not turn on deadlocks only locks the doors. i HAVE to use the key!

i remember a post on here long time ago of someone saying they had remote central deadlocking

so how much more secure would my car be with deadlocks on then???

as ive never really known this, also i think my factory immobiliser only turns on wen deadlocks are on too.

oh right, i didnt know that, thats cool, deadlocks turning on with another press of button on corsa C

....is it worth having deadlocks on???? how much more secure would my corsa B be if deadlocks were on???

im asking because a few of my mates have had their cars broken into lately, coincidence is that they were all pevgeots 206s so i guess they are easy to break into!! but what about the corsa B are they as easy to break into???

basically with deadlocks on they carn't get in unless they smash a window or bend the door.just makes the car more secure

Hi Guys,

Fitted the complete Corsa B central locking system to my Corsa which didn't come out with C/L so I know a fair bit about the system.
The motors actually only deadlock on the passenger doors, i.e. NOT on the drivers door, boot and fuel flap.
Deadlocking on the drivers door is taken care of by turning the key in the door, this "manual deadlocking" is done for a reason.
If your battery runs flat with the motors in deadlock mode you will never open the door with the key.

I am very interrested in finding out how the Corsa C deadlocking works, does anyone know anything about this system and how it differs from the Corsa B system?

Deon.
