if i get a dvd changer wil i jus need to get a screen and i can watch them as long as i got pre outs on my h/u?
iv always thought so but jus makin sure before i buy them
or the dvd changers only work if u got a dvd h/u?

dont hold me to this, but i think the DVD changers need a DVD player too. Ill gladly be corrected though!

think dvd changers can only read the disk but not actually process get it onto a screen

i dont think so, either way you need the interface kit which turns the 13 pin cable into RCA video + audio leads.
