the question is...

c20xe is more powerful and has more solid conrods, but it leaks, is an older construction and in poland is far less popular...

on the other hand there is x20xev which is less powerful, but is very popular in poland, there are tons of parts for it, doesn't leak...

no matter which engine i choose the engine will be turbo-ed in 6 months time.

which one to choose than?

let is very expensive and hard to find... much easier is to tune the xe with let parts as separately it's easier to get the exhaust cam, pistons, etc.

is the xe a trouble maker or not more than the other engines?

I'd say a x20xe on GEQ throttle bodies, cams and head. Should give around 220bhp. Not as much as the c20xe I know but would be more reliable.

Why not get a C20XE and get it rebuilt if you are worried about it going pop?
