Got my car lowered today 45mm on 15 inch wheels and the back wheels r bloody rubbin the arches when drivin....wots the best thing to do?
And do you have to take out the lowering springs when puttin the car through the MOT??

springs should be ok for the mot
what offset are your wheels? i got dirty and knocked the inner-arch out with a dirty big hammer, solved the problem for me!

but it wont pass the MOT when it rubs the arches goin over minor bumps???
I dont have a clue about the offset of the wheels, their miglia evo5 15" if thats any help

take a wheel off look for a number behind the alloy somewhere shud be e## or et##
put ur standard wheels back on for the mot

i have the same problem but i have 17's i have my archs cut back and it still rubs, i was told 2 get uprated shocks and that will stop it bouncing

If you drop more than 40mm its recommended to uprate your dampers too, i am dropped 60mm with apex springs and spax VSX dampers on 15's with et49 offset NO PROBS.....

sounds like ur wheel are the wrong offset, u want a offset of between 45mm and 49mm

if your running dodgy (et35-42) offsets on 15's with 195/50 profile tyres then it'll rub
if you get 194/45 profile tyres then this will stop it rubbing

right, i think iv worked out that the rubbin is just coming from the one wheel, the left hand side back wheel seems to be rubbin
Iv noticed that the left back wheel is very close to the arch (cant even get me finger in there) and the right back wheel there is a lot more room (get plenty of fingers in there)
Now, could the place where lowered the car not have put the left back wheel completely on right and its sitting out a bit?
Could this have happened?

and when I say its closer to the arch i mean the wheel is sittin out farther from the car

rubbing on one side is common as most corsa shells are not perfectly aligined, its just the way they come of the production line
you could try just giving the arch a good pull and this will help a bit
what profile of tyres are your running
